Ignite Group ("Ignite") is a venture capital firm established in Silicon Valley
in 1997.
The firm has been very successful in operating IT industry focused venture capital
activities. Total amount of funds under management reaches approximately \20 billion.
Investors in its funds are leading US and Japanese high-technology companies and
major financial institutions.
Ignite Japan K. K. ("IJ") was established as a Japanese subsidiary of Ignite in
March 2000.
In Japan, IJ has joined forces with The
Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Group, and conducts its investment activities
through "IT2000 Investment Business Limited Liability Partnership ("IT2000") ",
a VC fund co-managed by IJ and Tokio Marine Capital Co., Ltd. in the group. Furthermore,
IJ has a business alliance with major companies in the US and Japan, including
Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Groupand IBM
Corp.
Ignite has been very successful in operating IT industry focused venture investment
activities.
The targets are the most advanced businesses, such as software companies boasting
proprietary technology, Western companies hoping to enter the Japanese and/or
Asian markets, and high-tech companies targeting both the US and Japan as the
markets.
IJ investment team is composed of professionals with unique experiences in managing
and investing in U.S. and Japanese high-tech companies. After investments are
