Ignite Japan (“IJ”) joined forces with The Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Group in 2000, and established “IT2000 Investment Business Limited Liability Partnership (“IT2000”)”, a VC fund co-managed by IJ and Tokio Marine Capital Co., Ltd., an investment company in the group. Through IT2000, IJ has invested 15 venture companies in total.

IJ also has experiences in Private Investment in Public Equity (PIPE) business. In 2007, in order to acquire the minority shares of ACCA Networks (listed on JASDAQ at that time) common stock, we set up Ignite BB Investment Business Limited Liability Partnership, a special purpose fund, with the investments from domestic and foreign institutional investors.

IJ will expand the scope of its fund management business from its venture capital investment that we started in 2000, covering growth capital investment in publicly traded companies and turnaround investment in venture companies.

IJ provides the following management support services to domestic and foreign venture companies, utilizing each member's abundant experiences in management consulting and M&A advisory fields, as well as the know-how accumulated through the hands-on style venture investment since the company was established in 2000.
